Episode five

Acelyn didn’t know how they had managed to drive for so long without being detected by the creepy men in black. It felt strange, almost surreal, but she decided to go with it. They had been on the road for what felt like hours, and Acelyn's impatience was bubbling over. She hated being confined in one place for too long; it made her feel anxious and restless.  With a sigh, she pressed her thumb into her palm, trying to ground herself. The rhythmic pressure helped a little, but her mind was still racing. She glanced out the window as the scenery began to change; the buildings that lined the street were slowly disappearing, giving way to a desolate landscape that screamed abandonment. Crumbling structures loomed like ghosts from a forgotten past, and weeds poked through cracks in the asphalt, reclaiming what was once bustling urban life. “Are we there yet?” Acelyn asked, her voice tinged with impatience. “I can’t sit still for much longer.” “Almost there,” Luna replied fr...

Acelyn took that as a chance and ran past them,  towards the door.  I'm almost there. I'm almost there. I'm going to make it. I'm going to- "Ah !" Acelyn yelped when someone grabbed her by the hood of her hoodie, pulling her back just as her hand touched the door knob.   "Let me go!" She yelled at the person who grabbed her hand, struggling and pulling  but instead of letting her go, the person grabbed her other hand and cuffed them behind her back.  "You can't do that! Let me go!" She screamed still struggling. "Calm down first!" A female voice said, her voice calm and not at all threatening. Acelyn was suddenly turned around and made to sit on a chair. She frowned looking up at the male and female standing in front of her, they weren't the other two she had encountered but they were dressed the same. "Let me go!"  She kicked her legs out. The black, afro haired boy tilted his head to the side. ...

Acelyn kept on running down the street, her skin crawled seeing the wooden humans she passed, her mind still trying to comprehend what was happening except she couldn't even stop and try to understand, she had been running for awhile now and  Acelyn felt like she couldn't anymore.  Acelyn brought out her phone, the first thing in her mind is to call Edward. All previous anger forgotten. Where is he? Is he okay? Is Tex okay? She immediately dialed his number putting the phone to her ear.  "There she is!" Fuck! A voice yelled making Acelyn turn around. Behind her were more men who were dressed just like the one she met earlier.  "Oh shit!" She cursed and turned around, she stuffed her phone back into the front pocket of her hoodie and began running again. She could hear them behind her as she ran down the street accidentally knocking down wooden humans. Acelyn found herself apologizing even though she knew they couldn't hear her. She cornered d...

The next day, Acelyn did not talk to Edward, she got ready for school, ate her breakfast quietly and got into Emmett's car without even saying a good morning or good bye to her dad.  The fact that it's Emmett that drops her off at school since his work place is closer to where she schools while Edward drops Tex off at preschool, it made it easier for her to ignore her dad.  "I know you're mad it him," Emmett started. "But it's not really nice when you two fight." Acelyn knows that, she doesn't enjoy it either but she's not going to be the one to apologise. "Whatever papa, it's his fault." She huffed. "You know it's not, he's just trying to protect you, you know that Acelyn." Off course she does but that doesn't mean she has to accept it. Acelyn rolled her eyes. "Whatever." Acelyn really just wanted to get out of the car and not talk about it with her dad but they were stuck in traffic ...

Acelyn felt like all the air had left her lungs, maybe because smoke filled the air and she couldn't find her teammates. "Lilo!" she yelled, not caring if they heard her. "Poppy! Luna! Millard!" But they was no reply back. She felt her stomach churn in dread. Where the fuck are they?!                        𖣐                       Six months ago  Acelyn took the plate of pasta from Edward walking out of the kitchen and into the dining room. She placed the plate on the table and sighed, a small smile playing on her lips.  "Okay, dinner's ready," Edward announced walked into the living room with a bowl of salad. He dropped the bowl in the middle of the table and pulled out a chair sitting down, Acelyn did the same. And soon Emmett came downstairs carrying four years old Tex in his arms, he sat the boy down on a chair then took his own seat.  Halfwa...
